Luttrell The ASPE Business Forum is open to all attendees of the annual meeting and will be of particular benefit to those with interests in business or the management of technology. The program will combine business and technology issues pertinent to leaders in the precision engineering community. It will be held this year on Monday October 16, 2006, just prior to the start of the formal ASPE meeting. The program will consist of a continental breakfast, morning talks, lunch, and ample time to network with invited speakers and other attendees. Open Forum The Open Forum was created to encourage dissemination of new and significant results, as well as observations on precision engineering subjects. This year we have planned a special informal session, and we would like participants to bring their story on a couple of slides (please email them in advance as .pdf or PowerPoint files to Alex Slocum slocum@mit.edu) Describe a research problem that was funded by NSF (or whoever, but especially NSF tales), and how the project evolved into something (anything) that was later (any time later, even after the contract was over) adopted by industry.
