An Invitation to Attend
The members of the American Society
for Precision Engineering cordially invite you to attend their 21st Annual
Meeting and Conference. The meeting will be held in Monterey, California,
on October 15 – October 20, 2006 at the Monterey Marriott and the
Monterey Conference Center.
Nanometer positioning, new metrology
techniques, ultraprecision machining, and many other current developments
in precision engineering will be on the program. All activities of the
meeting including tutorials, technical sessions, poster sessions, commercial
exhibits, the Business Forum, and social activities will be held at these
two locations. Further,
this year the banquet dinner will be held at the Outer Bay Wing of the
Monterey Bay Aquarium.
The technical program begins on Tuesday
morning, October 17, and concludes on Thursday afternoon, October 19.
Technical sessions include invited talks by engineers and scientists who
will address precision engineering challenges in their fields. In addition,
poster sessions will feature a large number of poster papers and allow
ample time for one-on-one discussions. Two days of tutorials will precede
the technical sessions, covering topics ranging from interferometry to
metrology to precision grinding, and will be offered by some of the world’s
leading authorities in these fields. Once again, we will offer the Business
Forum on Monday, October 16. This event is open to company executives
involved in precision engineering. The program will consist of several
customized sessions providing insights into critical business issues,
contemporary technology trends in precision engineering, and ample networking
opportunities.
New product developments and application
areas will be presented by exhibitors in a special Commercial Session
on Tuesday afternoon. Commercial exhibits of precision engineering products
will be open from Tuesday, October 17, through Thursday, October 19. Meeting
breaks, refreshments, and hospitality hours will be centered around the
exhibit space. A lounge area is also available to exhibitors for informal
gatherings and discussions with prospective clients. Booths are available
for all vendors who wish to display products. The conference registration
fee includes daily meals, reception, hospitality hours, and a banquet
to beheld at the Monterey Bay Aquarium on Tuesday evening, October 17.
In addition, optional tours are planned for Friday, October 20.
The 2006 ASPE Annual Meeting will present another unique opportunity to
develop relationships and foster collaborations within the precision engineering
community. We look forward to seeing you in Monterey!
Exhibition
Each
year at the Annual Meeting, a technical exhibition is open to all fully
registered conference participants. This exhibit showcases many precision
engineering products and services from companies and organizations. The
exhibitors range from tool manufacturers to suppliers to research institutions
and is an excellent venue to gain exposure to international precision
engineering professionals.
If your organization is interested in
exhibiting at the 2006 ASPE Annual Meeting, please contact ASPE at 919-839-8444
