Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will plan, direct, and coordinate the manufacturing
processes in a high technology plant by performing the following duties.
The key responsibilities of the Manufacturing
Engineer are as follows:

Develops and conducts tests of
new products and product improvements, analyzes data, and presents
results to organization

Responsible for program test
development, oversight of test execution, data reduction, and delivery
of test reports.

Supports user manual development,
cost reduction, and engineering change team efforts.

Develops procedures and assembly
drawings that enable qualified assembly personnel, outside contracted
services, and service engineers to: consistently manufacture products;
install, and upgrade new product improvements.

Finalizes and documents Performance
Specifications for all products.

Develops, evaluates, and improves
manufacturing methods.

Confers with engineering staff
concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production
methods.

Confers with vendors to determine
product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials,
or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality
standards.

Estimates production times, staffing
requirements, and related costs to provide information for management
decisions.

Confers with management, engineering,
and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules,
and other considerations to optimize production processes.

Develops and applies methodologies
to: organize naming conventions for assemblies and parts; create Engineering
Masters in ERP system; control revisions of parts and drawings.
Position Requirements
Experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Working knowledge of machine shop equipment and tools. Knowledge of
test procedures and documentation of process improvement required. Proficient
in ProEngineer and/or other solid modeling software is preferred. Knowledge
of GD&T practices. Experience designing mechanical details &
specifying materials, coatings, and hardness requirements. Experience
with assembly practices, tolerance stack ups, assembly drawings, BOM's,
engineering change system. CNC experience a plus. Experience using Visual
Manufacturing ERP system or equivalent manufacturing software is desired.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical
inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and
proportions to practical situations. Ability to solve practical problems
and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only
limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer - To perform this job successfully, an
individual should have knowledge of Pro/Engineer; Autocad LT; Adobe
Acrobat; Internet Explorer; ERP Systems; MS Project; MS Excel and MS
Word software.
Travel - Domestic and international travel is occasionally
5% - 10%. Travel is required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities
of this position.

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Mechanical/Electrical
Engineering/Technology; or one to two years related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Two
to three years experience in industrial or machine shop environment
preferred.License Requirements
