MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Description
The mechanical engineer will report to the ME manager and will be responsible for precision mechanical design, thermomechanical FEA, and design package release.

Responsibilities

  • Verification of mechanical designs.
  • Design new precision mechanics for new product development.
  • Documentation release to Doc Control for Manufacturing
  • Effective communications with R&D and manufacturing departments.

Experience

  • MS (or BS) in mechanical engineering, electro-mechanical engineering etc.
  • 2+ years of design engineering experience in Solidworks, AutoCad or similar;
  • Position is flexible depending on experiences. New college graduates to senior level ME will also be considered.
  • Quick learner and self starter a must.
  • The ideal candidate has a lot of experience in macroscopic optics mounts (lasers, telescopes, interferometers, airborne optics, etc) and a solid background in both design (Solid Works preferred) and analysis (Finite Element Modeling) of mechanical and thermal behavior.
