ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & DUTIES

The successful candidate will lead and conduct opto-mechanical system development projects in large cross-functional engineering teams.

This position requires the combination of good projects & people management capabilities and technical hardware knowledge with opto-mechanical system design/engineering skills.

Other roles & responsibilities:

  • Provide primary technical and programmatic interface with the customer(s)
  • Interface the project with the internal organization
  • Train and coach junior engineers

The position requires:

  • A BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Physics
  • 5+ years of job experience in Opto-Mechanical Systems Engineering, Thermal & Stress Analysis, Finite-Element Analysis
  • Solid analytical and mathematical skills
  • 2+ years of experience in Project Management
  • Strong skills in communication and people management

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A MS Degree in Mechanical or Physics
  • Experience in distortion-“free” mounting of high-performance optical elements under high thermal loads
  • All applicants are required to show proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
