The Display and Graphics Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated electromechanical engineer to contribute to the advancement of high performance positioning components and electromechanical systems. In this position, you will become involved with the design, assembly, and implementation of positioning systems and controls used in the R&D and manufacture of numerous products. Your skills will also be utilized to enhance the performance of existing electromechanical systems to achieve world class performance.

You will work in a high energy multi-displinary team of engineers and scientists following a design from concept to implementation and from laboratory to manufacturing. The desired candidate will be able to work equally well independently or in a team environment and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2 years experience with a solid foundation in linear control systems theory, Qualifications control, motion control and design as well as and DSP programming
  • 2 years experience with Software education in PMAC

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2 years plus experience with Aerotech, C++/Visual Basic, and Matlab/Labview/Smulink

Candidate Profile:

Candidates will have 1-5 years experience controlling low friction motion systems utilizing high resolution encoders, linear amplifiers, and high speed multiaxis digital controllers. Strong knowledge of signal processing and controls simulation is a must. Prior experience with M&G code machine
